Angelo Seminara is a good friend to HairClubLive and we know him to be a great inspiration to many, and generous with his time, too. So no surprise to see yet another example of him giving back to the hairdressing community with a couple of days mentoring for The Fellowship for British Hairdressing. Fab to see some HCLmembers partaking… we know they loved it.
TWO-DAY INSPO FEST
Nurturing young talent and sharing a wealth of experience is what gives our industry longevity. We can credit the Fellowship’s FAME team leader Nick Irwin, and Colour Project leader Paul Dennison with putting together a great two-day inspo fest with Angelo Seminara that does both! First a session at Anthony Mascolo’s Library Space studio in London, where the FAME team watched their icon Angelo present several of his styling techniques as well as a demo of his Imprinter colour stencil. Then a repeat but with the emphasis more on the colour work at the Hunter Collective space the following day for the Colour Project (hi to Marlene, Poppy and Georgia from HCL!). For this, Angelo gave a showcase of the flamboyage technique as well as the Imprinter patterning. While being awesome on stage and session work, Angelo is keen to remember how important it is to translate adventurous or avant grade looks into wearable, accessible trends that can be taken back to the salon without scaring the clients!
