What an event! Respect For Hair hosted their second LAB event and what a success it was!
Their January LAB event was hosted by Respect’s own editor, Lauren Stone and Alan d’s director of education Edward Hemmings. Followed by seven fantastic speakers, who made us aware of important topics in the hair industry.
Ghd Professional’s main scientist-man is Dr Tim Moore who was the first to step on the stage. He clearly knows what he’s talking about and informed us on all things technology and science behind the ghd brand’s hugely popular styling tools. Nice!
Next Charlotte Cave reminds us to question. Just because it is a tradition, doesn’t always mean it’s the correct method. We saw award-winning photographer Jack Eames stressing the importance of video within the hair industry. Followed by Stacy Humphreys promoting the work of the Hair & Beauty Charity, the only charity in the industry, which helps support those in financial adversities. What a fantastic cause, you never know when you might need help!
Next up was Jo Irving who taught us all things Instagram and how to build an attractive feed for your brand. Showing us how she believes is the best way to gain people’s interests online. Remember to be personal with your followers!
Ghd Professional’s Head of Education Janine Jennings came on to teach us how to maximise opportunities, and the part consultations play in retail. Thank you for giving us the insight into these skills! And last but certainly not least, the man himself, Akin Konizi director at HOB salons was serious on why we must refocus on hair to grow our business.
What an inspiring night! Watch out for the next event in March.
