Thrilled to see a posse of HairClubLive members lending support to the #getregistered campaign by the Hair Council, promoting state registration and the professionalisation of hairdressing! HCL’s Ross Cosgrove at Not Another Salon teamed up with Penny Etheridge (Radiant Hair Consultancy and the HC’s English think-tank chairperson) to run Sign Up! – a pop up event in London recently. Held in the Not Another Salon in Brick Lane, the evening included established and up-and-coming stylists working their magic, with guests free to stand by them, up close and personal to take pictures, ask questions and find out more about them and about the HC. It was fun, informal and a real change from the norm. Bravo to Leigh Keates, James Earnshaw, Ria Kulik, Jordanna Cobella and Gavin McIntyre, Ky Wilson and Kirsten Bassett for presenting – all HCL and proud of it. AND most importantly, they attracted 45 new sign ups to the Hair Council. Wowser! SEE these pix then scroll down for more info on the next event….

State Registered hairdresser and owner of Not Another Salon, Sophia Hilton says: “Ross was keen to organise an event that appealed to a younger audience, whilst still sharing the Hair Council’s brand message about the importance of state registration. The night was about being interactive and getting involved – not just the usual format of watching what the artists are doing. We invited a mix of session experts, some with just a year’s experience behind them, others more than seven years. We wanted the guests to hear first-hand what is involved and how the world of session can help your career. Ross did an outstanding job getting such a strong team together on the night. It provided something different from the usual membership sign up events. The buzz and atmosphere on the night was fantastic.”
A prize draw ramped up the excitement factor, with gifts from brands supporting the #getregistered campaign, including Hot Tools, Viviscal, Balmain Paris, Wella Professionals, Affinage and Radiant Hair Consultancy.
More Sign Up events are planned for the forthcoming months, so watch for news on social media @haircouncil and support our #getregistered campaign. For more information on how to join The Hair Council and the benefits this brings, email:
