Amazing news for one of our premium members and beloved lady, Vivienne Johns! She is joining the new era of artistic team, Hairdotcom Art Team and we couldn’t be happier for her!
The perfect match
Hairdotcom Art Team is the brainchild of Ashleigh Hodges and Craig Chapman; it’s a collab of talented hairdressers from across the globe – no matter what salon of brand they work for. The team work on everything including education for brands such as Matrix and ghd, to TV work, celebrity hair and make-up for the Emmys, Cannes Film Festival, Broadway and the West End, as well as beauty campaigns and editorial work.
“We are so excited to announce Vivienne onto our unique Team. She is the perfect addition to our fantastic family bringing her strengths in not only Social Media education but also curly hair and intricate braiding! She’s a genius! A personality as vibrant as her lipstick! We found the missing piece of our jigsaw in Viv” says Founder & Director Craig Chapman and Director Ashleigh Hodges.
“Already Vivienne has been blowing me away with her knowledge and expertise, and instantly had us all laughing!” adds Ashleigh.
A success story
Vivienne is a successful salon owner, freelance stylist and social media coach. Alongside business partner Nadine, Viv opened Hunter & Walsh in Penzance. The salon couldn’t be any further from the hub of hairdressing, London, but geography has not been a barrier for Hunter and Walsh salon. They have won Cornwall Apprentice Employers of the year for their commitment to education, as well as finalised in the BHBA and Salon Business awards. Bravo!
Not only has Vivienne succeeded within the salon, but she has been a successful freelancer as well. She has worked in Paris for Kevin.Murphy and has been an educator for Ouidad. She has also joined Craig Chapman’s team working behind the scenes on The Voice. Craig says “Viv is not only one of the greatest net workers I’ve met, which is how she joined my team on The Voice UK this year, but is an incredibly talented creative.”
On top of great hair and business skills, Viv is a genius at social media and shares her knowledge with others now as a social media consultant and coach. Having tried and tested winning branding techniques, it’s fair to say that Viv knows how to play the Insta game. ‘‘Follower numbers are nice, but they are not a measure of your success on social media. Some salons with the smallest follower numbers that I coach have the best engagement, meaning their followers are true fans” she says.
“I am so excited to be joining the Hairdotcom art team. What I am so drawn to is that the team is made up of artists from all over the UK and from all areas of the industry. The saying ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its parts’ couldn’t be more true. I will be teaming up with Casey Coleman to deliver a really exciting course for 2021” says Vivienne and we can’t wait to hear more about this. Keep it up, Viv!
